Body School
The school of Body-Movers gathers the disciplines grounded in embodied action, ritual, and flow. Its practitioners trust the felt intelligence of the body — the knowledge that lives in muscle and breath before it lives in language. Where another school might map a labyrinth, a Body-Mover walks it. Where another might describe a rhythm, a Body-Mover keeps it. The lineage runs from Mesoamerican ballcourt rites through Kyudo and contemplative walking traditions to the contemporary practices of contact improvisation and circus arts. The Academy honours these as disciplines in the strict sense: practices that ask for repetition, attention, and the slow accumulation of skill that only the body can carry.
